The Skills Genome is a vision for an open global infrastructure of information-sharing on human skills. A "coalition of the willing" from around the world continues to collaborate in developing the vision, highlighting skills-centric initiatives and sharing insights for moving the arena forward.

The transfer mechanism for information about human skills is through a vision for a "Rosetta Stone for Skills," an open set of protocols for translating information about human skills into domains and languages.
The Skills Genome Project is an initiative of Charrette LLC, a small but mighty San Francisco organization that catalyzes "initiatives with impact." We are the co-founders of initiatives such as SoCap (the largest gathering of impact entrepreneurs and investors) and the U.S. Broadband Coalition (137 organizations that drafted a national broadband strategy in 2008), and producers of inclusive conferences such as Global Skills Day 2021 and Fulcrum: Strategies for an inclusive future of work.

The Global Skills Ecosystem
There are many skills-oriented initiatives and organizations around the world, many of which include implicit or explicit skills frameworks, skills/competency models, and skills development approaches.
Charrette maintains a "map" of that global skills ecosystem. The map is a living document, continually updated based on feedback and changes in technology and activity. CLICK ON THE IMAGE TO DOWNLOAD THE MAP.
After reviewing the map, please provide feedback in this brief questionnaire to help ensure the map stays as current as possible
