  • SoCap, SocialCapitalMarkets.net, which was launched in 2008 to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and other influencers to collaborate on developing businesses with a purpose.
  • Closing The Gap: Strategies for an Inclusive Economy, a 2015 conference in Palm Beach, Florida, on the growing gap between haves and have-nots in the U.S., with speakers like Tony Blair, Tom Friedman, Robert Reich, and Xavier de Sousa Briggs, with supporters such as Ford Foundation.
  • DGREE: The Future of Higher Education,, a 2010 conference that highlighted many of the systemic issues that are “unbundling” higher education, supported by Lumina Foundation.
  • Silicon Valley Meets the UN, a twice-held gathering of hi-tech entrepreneurs and the international impact community, held at the UN’s ECOSOC Chambers in partnership with UNGAID.
  • The U.S. Broadband Coalition, a 2007 initiative that culminated in 2009 with 137 organizations to collaborate in drafting a national broadband strategy, to the benefit of municipal initiatives across the country.

Heidi C. Kleinmaus, Managing Partner

Heidi is the former Director of International Marketing for Sony Pictures Television, former Marketing Director at Baldoni Entertainment, and was series consultant and production executive on a PBS series on New York Theater. Heidi was also an account supervisor at Grey Advertising.


She produced over 150 live interview shows for Google Science Fair on YouTube. Heidi has served as a consulting producer on a variety of projects, such as Google Zeitgeist, Red Bull Glimpses, and L'Oreal Inspiration Day. She has served as co-producer of conferences such as Closing the Gap: Strategies for an Inclusive Economy; DGREE: The Future of Higher Education, SoCap: Social Capital Markets, Silicon Valley Meets the U.N., and the MuniWireless local broadband events, coordinating all major aspects of strategy and production.


A graduate of USC, Heidi is a former board member of Cathedral School for Boys.

Gary A. Bolles, Partner

Gary helps organizations, educators, governments, and startups to develop strategies to meet the needs of tomorrow’s workers and learners. He has nine courses on LinkedIn Learning with a total of over 800,000 learners, and author of The Next Rules of Work (August 2021).


Gary is adjunct Chair for the Future of Work for Singularity University, helping people understand the impact of exponential change on the worlds of work and education. He is also a co-founder of eParachute.com, helping job-hunters & career changers with programs inspired by What Color Is Your Parachute?, the world’s enduring career manual. 


Gary is the former editorial director for publications such as Inter@ctive Week (“the Internet’s first newspaper”), Yahoo! Internet Life, Network Computing, Sm@rt Partner, and MuniWireless Magazine. He is the former Chief Operating Officer for Evolve Software, and the former VP Marketing for Network Products Corporation.
